Horse Riding Confidence

Almost all horse riders experience a dip in confidence at some point in their riding career, whether it is an instant reaction to a nasty fall or a slow build up of nerves over a longer period of time, maybe due to being ‘over-horsed’.

Your subconscious minds main purpose is to ensure your survival and therefore it is only doing it’s job when it triggers your fight or flight reflex to a perceived dangerous situation. However, this subconscious reaction can be in direct contrast to your conscious desire, i.e. to go for a hack or complete a cross country course.

Hypnotherapy can help you to address this imbalance and help you to restore your confidence in your abilities. By learning to relax deeply and through learning self hypnosis, you can discover ways to remain calm and in control, whether riding for pleasure or during exams or competitions.
